Summarized Video Transcript

Part 5 will teach you how to deploy your entire CRM application in just a few clicks.

With all your DataPages now completed, let’s go ahead and deploy each one on your website.

While the sample template used in this video was created using HTML, you don’t need any background in front-end web development to implement your apps. Caspio is also compatible with many website builders out on the market today. Services like WordPress, GoDaddy, Weebly, Yola, 1&1 and more, all have a drag-and-drop user interface that eliminates the need to code.

This tutorial will make use of an internal host where DataPages can be embedded in HTML files. A total of six were created for this use case.

Deploying with Caspio Embed

Go to your list of DataPages and focus first on the interfaces you’ve built inside your Employees folder.

DEPLOYMENT 1: new_lead.html

Hover your cursor on the New Lead DataPage and do the following steps:

  1. Click Deploy.
  2. Click Enabled on the resulting window to change Deployment Status.
  3. Make sure that the deployment method selected is Embed.
  4. Copy the Caspio generated deploy code.

  1. Paste the code on your designated HTML file (new_lead.html for this DataPage).
  2. Save your HTML file.
  3. Refresh the related page on your website and check its functionality.

After logging in as Kelly Smith (Email: kelly.smith@company.com, Password: test), you should be able to see your deployed submission form to add new leads.

Deploying with Caspio URL

You can also use the URL deployment method if you don’t have a website for your DataPages. Simply do the following steps:

  1. Click Deploy.
  2. Click Enabled on the resulting window to change Deployment Status.
  3. Select URL for your Deployment Method.
  4. Copy the Caspio generated link.

  1. Paste the link onto your browser’s address bar and hit Enter.

Now you can benefit from all the functionalities of your DataPage even with no website. All you need to do is bookmark the generated URL within properly labeled folders for easy access. You can also share these addresses to authorized users and have them do the same.

Launching Your Employee Portal

You have two more DataPages in your Employees folder whose deployment status is still disabled.

DEPLOYMENT 2: search_leads.html

Continue with your Search Contacts DataPage and follow the same steps when deploying with the Embed method. But paste your deploy code on the right HTML file (search_leads.html).

Now your employees can search all their leads through a search form, and view a nice report that also displays a chart.

DEPLOYMENT 3: dashboard.html

The last DataPage you’ll be deploying for your employees is the Dashboard view. Again, follow the steps for deploying with the Embed method. But take note of the HTML file you’re pasting the deploy code in (dashboard.html).

Now your employees can securely view their respective pipelines on a funnel chart.

Launching Your Manager Portal

Next for deployment are the DataPages within your Managers folder. Launching all three of them will complete your manager portal.

DEPLOYMENT 4: add_employee.html

Deploy your Add New Employee DataPage with the Embed method and paste the deploy code on the right HTML file (add_employee.html). When testing the page on your website, log-in as John Doe (Email: john.doe@company.com, Password: test).

Now John Doe can add new employees to your staff table.

DEPLOYMENT 5: manage_employees.html

Follow the same pattern and deploy your View/Manage Staff DataPage with the Embed method on the right HTML file (manage_employees.html).

Now John Doe can efficiently view and manage all the employees.

DEPLOYMENT 6: dashboard.html

For your last DataPage, deploy the manager Dashboard with the Embed method on the remaining HTML file (dashboard.html). Be careful not to confuse it with your employee dashboard.

Now John Doe can view an aggregate of all the sales data inside the pipeline, empowering him to better understand where all the revenue is coming from.
